About Us

In the dynamic climate of February 1966, when the City of Cypress was fast emerging from the image of a small, rural dairy city, neighborhood women responded to an invitation to a local meeting.  The existing junior woman's club called this meeting to unite women who were interested in cultural, educational, civic, and social welfare activities.

The Woman's Club of Cypress (WCC) thus came to be federated and organized March 7, 1966, and incorporated October 16, 1972.  WCC is a member of General Federation of Women's Clubs, California Federation of Women's Clubs, and CFWC Orange District.

Since its inception, WCC has promoted federation goals through dedication to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.  Today, WCC is 84 women strong, and we remain committed to service as we extend our reach in the community.

Woman's Club of Cypress

A helping hand, hug or just sitting quietly and not judging someone who needs you, is the universal language of kindness.  In these busy days of multi-tasking, take time to fully engage with those around you.  See and hear what they need.  Offer a kind word.  Put away criticism, even constructive criticism, and replace it with a kind word or smile.  The Woman’s Club of Cypress performs many acts of service to our community and beyond.  Let’s always make kind words part of our generous hearts and culture.
