GFWC Woman's Club of Cypress
In the dynamic climate of February 1966 when the City of Cypress was fast emerging from the image of a small, rural dairy city, neighborhood women responded to an invitation to a local meeting. The existing junior woman's club called this meeting to unite women who were interested in cultural, educational, civic, and social welfare activities.
The GFWC Woman's Club of Cypress (WCC) thus came to be federated and organized March 7, 1966, and incorporated October 16, 1972. WCC is a member of General Federation of Women's Clubs, International (GFWC), California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC), and CFWC Orange District.
Since its inception, WCC has promoted federation goals through dedication to enhancing the lives of others through community improvement, volunteering and philanthropy. Today, WCC is ~115 members strong and we remain committed to service as we extend our reach in the community. We meet monthly at the Cypress Community Center @ 5700 Orange Avenue. More information is on the Membership page.
